THE WORD OUT SHED:
A shed that promotes Word Out and engages people across the Festival. It will be the base for the Rough Cut Zine and you can if you wish run pop in type workshops where adults can create revolting rhymes. This will also be the base for your letter writing installation.
I have scheduled you all for times but the shed is a relaxed space so it won’t mean that you miss all the performances in the main tent. You can take it turns and when its quite the shed can probably look after itself.
You can all do a bit of everything but inline with your initial expressions of interest: Matthew & Cal will focus on gathering interviews for the zine and our social media; Adrian, Lora and Alex will focus on the development of the zine; Lora, Alice, Alex & Helen will focus on the letter writing installation.

Revolting Rhymes workshops for HE Kids | Wednesday 4th May between 10:00 – 13:00
This would be for approx. 8-14 year olds (max 15 in the group). The rhymes would then decorate the festival site and we could also prepare the children to performing them on the family stage at the weekend.

ROUGH CUT - An evening hosted by Word Out | Thursday 5th May | 6:30 – 8pm
It’s time to break the rules and get creative- join Word Out poets and artists for a night of poetry, music collaborations and live-drawing! Followed by an open mic session. Performers include Neelam Saredia, Matthew Bryon, Stefan Gambrell, Adrian Brayley, Cal Harris, Thembe Mvula, Frank Radcliffe-Adams, Maggie Akintayo & hosted by Alex Vellis.
